International Heliophysical Year
International Heliophysical Year (IHY) celebrates 50 years of space exploration with a worldwide programme of scientific research and outreach events based around the Sun and its effects on the Solar System. It is an initiative from the United Nations.
These pages aim to give information on the UK outreach events (for schools, public and scientists) and how you can become involved. This programme of events is mainly funded by the particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC).
